This 1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari is the cheapest Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari. It starts early morning transfer to Volcanoes National Park. You wake up at 4:00am and by 4:30am you are driven to Ruhengeri, Volcanoes National park arriving at 7:00am. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by ranger guides ready for the Gorilla trek briefing. After the briefing you will be escorted by the ranger guide into the forest to see the shy Mountain Gorillas. You are entitled to 1 hour of viewing the mountain Gorillas as they play, eat, coupling and swinging on the tree branches. This is the most exciting moment in the African lifetime safari. Later in the evening you will be driven back to Kigali city.
1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari
Have an early morning breakfast at your hotel or place of residence in Kigali city. Then leave for Volcanoes National Park which is located in the north western Rwanda protecting the steep slopes of the Mountain ranges which are known as the home of the endangered rare Mountain Gorillas. The mountain ranges of this region are rich mosaic of montane ecosystems holding the evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath. The park is part of the Virunga Massif consisting of the several mountain ranges including Karisimbi – the highest at 4,507m, Bisoke with many Crater Lakes, Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura. Upon your arrival, you will be briefed and grouped into 8 people. Each group will be assigned to a specific gorilla family. You are entitled to 1 hour of interacting with the Mountain Gorillas and later you will be returned back and that marks the end of your Mountain Gorilla trekking session.
