1 Day Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Tour
On your 1 Day Ngamba Island Tour, Our driver guide will pick you ready for either Half day Ngamba island visit or Full day visit. You will be transferred to the mainland on Lake Victoria to board a speed boat to Ngamba Island. The half day visits starts from 9:00 am or 12:45 pm and full day starts from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Upon arrival to the island, you will be directed to visitors center and you be given a brief history, rules and regulation of the island. The Island is a chimpanzee sanctuary where you will view feeding of the chimpanzees from the visitors platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence, hear an informative talk by sanctuary staff, orphaned and injured chimps are taken care of from this place and look after them, most especially those that are infants and cannot take care of themselves.
